I can't seem to figure out how to access this parameter, or if it is even possible (let alone recommended). In other words, how to trick enscape into thinking one asset is another. The thing that I'm trying to figure out at the moment is how to change the assetID parameter in revit. Even with the entire asset library downloaded, we still need some sort of enscape family in the model for this to work. The don't really exist in a location that we can point to before they are placed in the model. The difficulty here is of course that Enscape assets are turned into Revit families only when they are placed into the model. This may not acquire the correct proxy mesh, but in theory, it would render correctly in enscape. Ideally, the script would run, then rhinoInside could be closed, and enscape will work fine.ġ) Use the rhino block instances (enscape asset) to get the position and rotation of the asset.Ģ)Place any enscape asset in the correct location in the Revit modelģ) Change the enscape asset ID to point to the correct asset. Even having them both loaded not necessarily running at the same time can cause issues. As far as RhinoInside and Enscape running at the same time, yes, I agree. Hi Pieter- Yes, models have the same coordinates. You could run the entire setup before launching Enscape. There's should be no need to run Enscape while rhinoinside is running.

Drawing objects in Rhino for Madcam use. This is simular with the "OBJECT" command in AUTOCAD. If anyone is familar with Sketchup you could make an object into a component, and when u copy that component over different areas of the model, editing any one of the components will make changes to all the other one. Is there a quick way to do that, so that I would only have to make one change and all the other columns would change in the same way. In that case I would have to make changes to every single column. During the design process I might decide I want to change the floor height or do an additional change to the column profile. I am an architect myself, so If say I was designing a building, and I have 100 of the same columns in the design. I was wondering if there is a way to make an object in Rhino 3d, so that when I have multiple of the same objects in my model I can easily modify one and all the other objects will be modified simultaneously?
